Allen Walker in other style

Description

I was bored(again) when I randomly grabbed this local magazine that printed translated manga called Arena and was reading when I thought how another character from another manga would look like in another mangaka's style.

So I thought that since I'm totally into drawing Allen, why not give him a try.

:bulletred: My first attemp was Nishiyama Yuriko's style. I made reference from Dragon Voice chapter 62&63. I really like her style but I don't think I did it so well. I kind of used Rin's face with Allen's hair. Basically it's the same as the others but since Rin's hair is quite different, I was taking bits and pieces from other characters to use as a reference for how Allen's hair might look like in her style.
:bulletred: My second attempt was Takei Hiroyuki's. It's a failure. I know. I'm really sorry for even thinking of attempting it. :depressed:
:bulletred: The third attempt is Takaya Natsuki's Fruits Basket style. Thruthfully I much preffered the style in the early chapters of Fruits Basket since the style changed slightly but I only had a few of the chapters at hand that time so finally decided on just using chapter 71. It kinda reminds me of Yuki probably because it is Yuki but I tried my best.
:bulletred: I got really nervous doing Obata Takeshi's Hikaru no go style probably because I really admire his work and I don't think I'll ever achieve a style like his. My hands were really shaking when I did this and it took me the longest. I'm really happy with how it turned out even though it's not really that good.
:bulletred: Even though I don't read Katekyo Hitman Reborn, I decided to give Amano Akira's style a shot. Luckily Sawada Tsuna looked kind of cool at one panel in chapter 100 that I used most of it as the base of the drawing. As for the hair, I implemented some of Belphegor's. How? I dunno. :p
:bulletred: The last one, CLAMP, was really rushed and I didn't give it my all. My work was starting so I had to rush about it. Thankfully CLAMP's work that I used as reference was Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle and not some of their earlier works like Chobits and Cardcaptor Sakura. I think those seem much harder.

Overall, I don't think I have the ability to copy another mangaka's style and that's probably a good thing but I still feel a bit disappointed. These attempts make me realize that there are a lot of things that make a style different and I'm more encouraged to find my own true style.

Huh.

I kind of want to try other styles as well. Like Arakawa Hiromu, Kishimoto Masashi, Tite Kubo, Bisco Hatori and Takanaga Hinako but maybe I shouldn't.

I feel kind of bad for doing this now that I think about it. I'm not sure if we should attempt another person's style or if it would somehow make us in the wrong - y'know copyright stuff. In the end, it is just a fanart.
